The Joy of Commissioning a Bespoke Piece of Art

Triptych commissioned paintings

Have you ever dreamed of owning a piece of art that’s truly unique, created specifically for you and your space? Commissioning a custom piece is a deeply personal and rewarding experience, and I’m here to make it as enjoyable and stress-free as possible. Taking the first step to reach out can feel daunting, but from the moment you contact me, I’ll guide you through the process, ensuring we work together to create something extraordinary that’s tailor-made just for you.

I’m more than happy to offer a no-obligation chat about your vision

Starting the Conversation

Reaching out to discuss a commission is often the hardest part, but it’s also the most exciting. From the moment we connect, I’ll listen carefully to your ideas, aims, and hopes for the piece. Whether you’re drawn to the vibrant, often graffit’esque ‘Fearless’ collection, the simple yet bold ‘Lines’ collection, or the soft energy of the ‘Adsum’ work, we’ll explore the possibilities together.

Don’t worry if you’re not entirely sure what you’re looking for — that’s where our conversation comes in! We’ll talk about your vision, your space, and how my art can bring your ideas to life.

Understanding Your Vision

Once we’ve had our initial discussion, I’ll take time to understand the finer details of what you want from your commissioned piece. While I paint intuitively, I’m happy to incorporate your preferences, particularly when it comes to the colour palette. If you have a photo of the room or wall where the piece will hang, sharing it with me is incredibly helpful. It allows me to visualise how the art will interact with your space, ensuring the final work feels perfectly at home.

We’ll also discuss practicalities like the size of the piece and the frame colour. These may seem like small details, but they’re the final puzzle pieces that ensure your artwork fits seamlessly into its surroundings.

Transparent Pricing

One question I often hear is, “How much will it cost?” Rest assured a commission piece is not any more expensive that choosing something from my existing collection, that’s because I base my pricing on size rather than the time spent in the studio. Once we’ve agreed on the dimensions of your piece, I’ll provide you with a clear quote. To begin the work, I ask for a 50% deposit, with the remaining balance due before delivery.

Uniquely Yours

I understand that commissioning a piece is an investment, and I want you to feel confident and excited about your decision. Knowing that your artwork will be crafted with love and care, especially for you, makes it all the more meaningful.

Why Choose a Commission?

A commissioned artwork is ideal for those moments when:

  • - You love a particular style of mine but envision it in a specific set of colours.

  • - Your space calls for a piece in a custom size or shape.

  • - You want a personal, one-of-a-kind creation that reflects your individuality and complements your home perfectly.

There’s something truly special about knowing the art on your wall was made just for you, with your ideas and preferences woven into its creation.

Let’s Begin

If you’ve been thinking about commissioning a piece but weren’t sure how to start, I hope this has given you a glimpse into how straightforward and rewarding the process can be. Creating bespoke art is one of my greatest joys, and I’m always happy to answer questions, discuss your ideas, and help bring your vision to life.

Why not reach out today to start the conversation — together, we’ll create something beautiful and unique that will make your space sing.
